Campaigns & Community

What campaigns do we run at The Citizens Trust?

Our campaigns are determined by the members, in particular those who get involved with the Campaigns and Policy Committee. There are no limits to what issues we can campaign on, as long as it is relevant to the communities we are set up to benefit:

  • Manchester City supporters, present and future
  • The communities where Manchester City supporters live

Previous campaigns run successfully by Manchester City supporters include:

  • The Community Shield boycott in 2023
  • The campaign against disabled parking charges in 2024
  • The ticket policy concessions secured in 2025

Got ideas and want to get involved in future campaigns? Join the next meeting of the Campaigns and Policy Committee and let’s make it happen!

What community work does the Trust do?

Led by the Community Committee, working for the benefit of the communities where our members live is a key focus for the Trust.

There is no set list of things we do, it depends entirely on what members want to prioritise. That could be…

  • Local foodbank collections
  • Kids’ shirt swaps
  • Mental Health Walks
  • Community gardening actions
  • Organising family days or kids football events
  • Investigating assets of community value local to the stadium

… or 100 other things we haven’t thought about yet. If you’ve got an idea, we can support you to make it happen. Join the Trust, come along to the Community Committee and we can get started.

Charities and Partners

We are open to working with charities and community group partners where they are a good fit with the goals and overarching principles of the Trust. Decisions will be made about these collaborations by the Community Committee and the Board on a case-by-case basis.

However, we would say that the Trust is built to serve the communities where our members live, so we actively encourage work between members, charities and community organisations to benefit the wider community. If you’d like to think with us about how we might make these positive links please contact us at info@thecitizenstrust.org.
