We were absolutely delighted to hold our first public meeting this week on the evening of Thursday 23rd April! With more than 850 paying members joining the Trust in the fortnight since launch, it was a busy one to say the least.
Our Interim Board took the opportunity to give members more detail on a range of topics, including:
- The background of the Trust, including why it’s needed, why now and more
- Who the Interim Board are and their experience
- The structure and legal standing of the Trust
- How elections work and when to expect the first one
- The committee system and how it is the lifeblood of the Trust
- Details and findings from our first member survey
- The club’s response to the founding of the Trust
- How the Trust aims to work as a complement to other supporter groups
- How members can get involved with the Trust and next steps
- …and much more
It was a great session and we want to thank everyone who attended and asked a range of excellent questions.
The Trust is brand new and it will grow and develop in the future depending on what members want. That will be a long process, but having so many Blues involved straight away – people who care about the club and other supporters – will make it all possible.
Our meetings are available to members only, so if you want to see the meeting minutes or get involved in future, make sure to join The Citizens Trust today and avoid missing out in future!
The next thing for members to look out for is more information regarding Committees and how to join them. The Interim Board is developing this as we speak and will get that out to members as soon as possible.
Thanks,
The Interim Board
